Auch wenn wir es nicht ganz geschafft haben, den versprochenen Termin einzuhalten: die neue JFFH-Webseite, die seit gestern weitgehend fertig ist und die Infos zu allen 40 Filmen und den kompletten Spielplan enthält, kann sich – das behaupte ich jetzt einfach mal dreist – sehen lassen.

Wie es der Zufall so will, fand sich heute ein Review unseres Eröffnungsfilms Tajomaru im Feedreader. Und was hat der sehr geschätzte Kollege von AK-News and Information zu unserem Highlight geschrieben?

There is this genre of films that are so bad that, when watched together with a group of people, they become almost perfect entertainment, allowing you to constantly point at things on the screen and laugh until your stomachs hurt. Tajomaru (2009) is one of those films, and as such a brilliant cinematic present to any group wanting to have a good time on a Friday evening.

Wunderbar, bessere Werbung hätten wir uns ja kaum wünschen können! Jeder Marketingfritze würde sich nach Zitaten wie „almost perfect entertainment“ und „brilliant cinematic present“ die Finger lecken! Nur schade, dass unser Eröffnungsabend am Mittwoch ist und nicht am Freitag. Aber wie gehts denn weiter?

It is difficult to describe Tajomaru. I would love to present you with a full plot-outline, but I doubt that anyone could really follow it, as the film has more twists and turns than a Swiss alpine road on steroids.

Das wird ja immer besser, der Film ist nicht nur unglaublich witzig sondern bietet auch eine abwechslungsreiche und unvorhersehbare Story! Na da brauch ich doch gar nicht erst weiterzulesen, sondern freue mich schonmal rundum auf den Film und natürlich das ganze JFFH!
